About me.

One of the most meaningful creative moments I’ve experienced happened while travelling in Mexico with Voice of the Martyrs.

We were visiting families in the forests of Chiapas whose lives had been deeply affected by conflict and poverty. My role was simple: document the situation and help assess whether families needed immediate support, long-term assistance, or help them create a business by financing them.

We met a family of eight, spanning three generations. Their home was nigh non-existent. Their walls were made from corrugated iron and rough timber. Despite having very little, they welcomed us warmly and cooked a meal after we had travelled a long distance to see them.

What stayed with me most were the drawings their children had made. The parents had pinned them proudly to the walls. In a home with very few possessions, those drawings were clearly treasured.

After the visit we returned to the nearby city. With some spare time, I found a small print shop and printed every joyful photo I had taken of the family, including a portrait of them all together.

I don’t think any photograph I’ve taken has ever meant more to the person receiving it than those prints did. Moments like that remind me that creativity isn’t just about aesthetics or campaigns. Sometimes it’s simply about giving people something meaningful to hold onto.

I consider myself creatively lucky to have had that moment. I hope, in some small way, I can create something meaningful for you too.

I know that what I do day to day now isn’t always life-changing or life-altering. But whether it’s something small — like photographing a local community parkrun and encouraging the mostly older runners each week — or something large, like helping creatively direct one of the largest youth events in New Zealand, I try to approach it with the same level of importance, care and love.

I’m here to  spill  your dreams into reality.
